Cloves, ground

Our organic, fairly traded cloves' rich, complex sweetness belong in so many fall and winter goodies: gingerbread, pumpkin pie, sweet potatoes, yams, and lentil dishes. Add them to beef stews and slow cooked barbecues. If you buy the whole cloves, you can use them in spiced cider and wine, pomanders, and chai, and well as in soups and stews (just be sure to remove them before you eat the dish).
