Urad dal - organic - for dosa


Urad dal is the creamy white inside of a bean. Rinse, then soak in water overnight with a little fenugreek and process til creamy in a high-powered blender. Mix with basmati rice that you’ve also rinsed and soaked overnight. Mix the two purées together and let sit 8-16 hours til bubbly. Use 2-3 parts basmati purée to 1 part urad dal purée. And there you are! Dosa batter.

This bag holds 7 ounces (1 cup) of organic urad dal, as well as a sprinkling of organic fenugreek. Enjoy!
