Cinnamon, Sri Lankan (or Ceylon) - 3" sticks
These beautifully aromatic, slightly crumbly sticks are perfect for spiced wine, mulled cider, hot chocolate, tea, or to add to a pot of cooking rice. You can also add them add them, along with star anise and cloves, to a bowl for a beautiful, aromatic centerpiece.
And this very fresh cinnamon is also organic and Fair Trade, so you know that the cinnamon is pesticide free and the people who grow and pick it are treated well.
The cinnamon sticks comes in an air-tight, lined, zip top bag that will keep them fresh for at least a year.
1 quart cider
5 cinnamon sticks
4 1" pieces of ginger
Simmer cider on low heat for 20-30 minutes, then ladle into mugs. Add a splash of bourbon to each mug before the cider, if desired.
