Juniper Berries

Organic. Juniper berries are used in gin and other beverages, as well as in wet or dry brines for turkeys. Many people use juniper berries as an ingredient in sauces, as well, for lamb, venison, or beef.

The berries' piney taste comes from the shrubs on which they grow. They blend well with berries and peppercorns. For an unusual taste, try simmering apples with cinnamon sticks, cloves, and juniper berries before you make a pie or crisp.
